really? the only people i see talking about wanting kids on, say, twitter are like tradwife types
maybe that's a very specific niche but if so it's a very specific niche a lot of people are in for better or worse :/

I feel like you're in a pretty niche bubble, post rats span anywhere from queer poly folks to redpill tradwife people, but most people that find community and families just leave this online bubble

Yeah, I was just about to say, those people are EVERYWHERE, just not on this particular corner of this particular platform.
walk outside. Go hang out with some people. Start bringing up family and kids. There's still LOTS of people out there talking about how they want these.

Tbh I think you may be in one of the least kid-friendly niche Venn diagrams of: v competitive academics, Bay Area, rationalists/EAs
Wanting to get married and have kids seems like... a trad-Disney-absolutely normal-mainstream *non-taboo* anywhere outside that niche

Which is not to say that it doesn’t suck to feel pressure to do/say things that don’t align with your goals... I just would be careful about generalizing too far from your own experiences, which may be fairly unique in this way
