tbf i've always intensely feared people growing more conservative/authoritarian as they grow older and have kids (esp when they get ultra-protective of them). it probably happens on average, but not for those in *some* communities.

i hope there will be one day where a significant portion of parents *won't* develop more conservative beliefs and drift from you even if you're constantly edgy. Ultraliberal/relaxed parenting styles are quite rare, but some parents don't have strongly held beliefs
