new question: do i leave california before fire season gets worse i genuinely do not know

Just did some rough math. It appears that we're closing in on 600,000 acres burned by lightning-sparked wildfires in Northern California *in just 7 days.* Nearly all such fires are still spreading rapidly. I'm truly at a loss for words. #CAwx #CAfires #CaliforniaWildfires

Close it. Donβt breathe in the smoke! I second what was said before, drink cold water instead.

Recommend closing the windows, started to feel sick after a day of having them open

I'm leaving a window open just a bit for CO2 levels and blasting a HEPA filter nonstop and no this is not good enough

a few hours before bed, we opened the window, left our filter running, and shut the door -- then, a couple hours later we shut the window, kept the filter running and shut the door again, so that by bedtime the air was cooler and smelled okay
but we still woke up a bit irritated
