abusers intentionally isolate you from others and a right perception of reality, sharing once you feel okay doing so is one of the most powerful things anyone else ever did for me

also: if y’all don’t mind I’d really appreciate prayers. I’ve been working up to this for a while but I’m confronting my estranged parents this weekend after not talking to them for 4 years.
