🔸political instability outside the US 🔸pandemic stuff: how risky is occasionally hanging out with friends, should i buy a gun, should i stockpile food 🔸am i fundamentally incompetent and incapable of doing anything 🔸will anyone want to marry me in time to have kids

🔸wtf is going on with the aliens 🔸who are my people? do i have any? would they be willing to raise kids with me? do i have to bring them together? i don't feel capable of bringing them together 🔸should i reverse course completely and temporarily force myself to do stuff

a lot of these things are entangled, and it makes more week to think of them as risk scenarios the one I'm most afraid of (which doesn't mean it's most likely to happen) is large areas becoming uninhabitable and forcing migration, countries going full fash in the face of that

if history is any indicator, once a few countries go full fash the others recoil away from it, but the US might be on the path to be fash this time. and wars are unlikely you can try to organize here (in which case weapons are good), or run away somewhere else.

I find the idea that you just wanted the sensation of getting it out and it has nothing to do with wanting any of the consequences of getting it out a) laughable, unlikely b) profoundly pathological
