my parents expressed no political opinions around me whatsoever, i have no idea what their politics are. my political environment was solidly liberal but it was all peers in school, made me very liberal in college and now i prefer to have as few political opinions as possible

I've been kind of cultivating an apolitical persona IRL as well- began out of conflict avoidance to better my relationship with my parents.
But now I'm kind of realizing I'm happier just staying out of that arena as much as possible 😊
