I still have a slight twinge/cringe reaction to it that is hard for me to get over - a deep, intuitive rejection or scorn for anything that reeks of SNAG

I find myself way more receptive when "masculinity" stuff is expressed in non gendered terms like
1. nobility
2. virtue
3. heroism
4. sovereignty
And also fascinated with its feminine expression - like Joan of Arc or the Trung Sisters.

I like that. I alternate between fostering a more masculine persona, and a more feminine one, IRL. I think lately I've more or less settled on being comfortable with being a Brooke that is all the way neither, but a little bit of both.

I am deeply fascinated by and totally stan feminine expressions of classically male virtues.

Thinking about this, my own internal stance towards gender is: I want moar
I don't want to be androgynous. I want to be simultaneously more feminine and more masculine.
