Most of these pat explanations of sexuality strike me as improper, just-so, psychologist tripe, because many people become subs without these psychological needs, and many don't become subs even though they do have them. You'd need an additional variable(s) to explain that.

Yeah... I'm not saying trauma or psychological needs never create subs/doms, but subby sexual thoughts are some of my earliest memories, like 4-5 yo, and some female friends have reported the same. I strongly suspect it's just hardware.

i’m not about to claim it’s 0% hardware or that anything is guaranteed in either direction here, and/but i think 4 years is plenty of time for lots of weird psychological stuff to happen already, and/but i have no interest in persuading anyone of this
