I read that you should hold a hug (with someone you love) for 20 seconds to get the full emotional and chemical benefit. I told my kids this and now they insist on 20 hugs.
And honestly, with 4 kids who want hugs multiple times a day...itβs the best thing ever.

i can also suggest relaxing as many muscles as you know how, i do this like "collapsing into someone else" hug every once in awhile and everyone loves it lol
