it's hard to pin down "manipulation" (sort of inherently, any explicit signs you look for can themselves be manipulated) and somewhat easier to pin down "being manipulated," i think; the felt experience of having been led somewhere you didn't actually want to go

It's pretty easy for me to pin down manipulation, because I'm good at it.
I'm trying to use my skills now though as sort of a white hat for people to help identify security vulnerability??
My thoughts on manipulation took a wild sharp turn today and I'm not done processing, hah

that is exactly the kind of belief that makes you vulnerable to manipulation, and i'm speaking from personal experience here 😛

So what about leaders?
What about people who use body language/tone -- charisma --
To lead in a way they believe to be in the best interest of those around them?
