What constitutes a finished thought?
When is a thought, finished?
Conversation
it’s like a story that has an ending

You believe in some thoughts that are - Platonic, in a way?
The pinnacle, never to be built upon, edited, or grown?

a story can be finished in the sense of having a satisfying ending but in a larger sense it’s another utterance in a larger conversation; of course other stories can build on it, etc.

oh maybe i should say it this way: “finished” is like “i’m done with my turn in the improv scene, it’s someone else’s turn to respond to me now”

Ah! Yeah! That sounds pretty similar to the way described it!
Do you ever try to play this kind of improv game, with yourself?

Oh now don't be coy. You know very well what I meant!
IRL, yo.
When it's just you and your brain.

hmm i actually don’t you mean literally playing an improv game by myself?
No, not literally. But using that analogy, in terms of thoughts.
Producing the effect of dialogue, even without another person to bounce ideas off of.
For me, I sometimes act out little silly arguments in my head. It's fun, but it also freq helps me highlight the ways I'm

holding myself back.
Ex:
"You should be Doing Stuff, Brooke"
"I'm tired. Leave me alone."
"You just took a nap, and you got a full night of sleep last night. You are NOT tired, you're being lazy."
"But-"
"But what??"
"..."
"That's what I thought."
