this is prompting some actual serious reflection. i think in my mind sloth is the "safest" vice b/c it's quiet and "doesn't affect anybody" but that's in large part because i've carefully engineered my life to have as few responsibilities to other people as possible. hmm

i feel like in this realm, cause and effect are blurred: we tend to follow the path of least resistance in our lives, so if we engineer our lives with more responsibilities and need for action, more tends to get done
