I don't really understand why everyone doesn't grind problem solving skills constantly. It feels like almost everyone gets to a certain (often quite low) skill level in what is basically a cheat code for life with unbounded upwards growth and then goes "welp, that's good enough"

how so? what was negative? one possible negative i see is that deliberately practicing this mindset might make one more likely to frame things as problems to be solved, which can be counterproductive if the "problem" is a human.
