in 2016 a bunch of people at a birthday party on a beach told me i was cold and unapproachable and they didn't know how to talk to me and i decided to stop and a few months later i started dating for the first time in 4 years

What's the most effective criticism/feedback you've received, that made you stop and go 'whoah i am actually doing all of this poorly you're right' and significantly change your behavior afterwards?

we were doing a doom circle which is where you take turns telling each other what you think you most need to hear, it's good stuff, kinda like the "what's my problem" threads from a month ago

general advisory: please feel free tell me exactly what you think of me, especially if you don’t like something i’m doing! if you think i’m being especially dumb, abrasive, etc. there’s a decent chance i’ll think about it, agree with you, and change my behavior
