I bet this explains many more schisms and post-x's in history than people realize. I wouldn't be surprised if it affects art, even. eg a group of painters etc having a good time, then some assholes infiltrate the community, and they start over with a new movement with a new name

there are all sorts of complicated explanations about rats and postrats, and none of it made much any sense to me, until I started hearing some whispers about hush-hush bad shit that allegedly happened, then I'm like, oh. postrats are rats distancing themselves from asshole rats

"Rationalists trauma" doesnt just mean bad shit that happened to you done by other Rationalists. For me it was "issues I had were a bit exacerbated by rationalist ways of thinking"

i went through some extreme yak-shaving paralysis in my late teens where i'd convinced myself i needed to completely understand the "full stack" of everything down to subatomic physics and axiomatic set theory before i could do anything at all
