saw a shel silverstein poem in 's GPT-3 post and struck by an urge to reread all his books of poetry. i used to leaf through them a lot as a kid during trips to costco but tbh i think most of them were wasted on me at the time

When I re-read some Silverstein recently I was astonished much bitterness and anger there was in his work, a lot of generic 60s hippy anger against the squares, but also a lot against women.
Didn’t remember that!
