here’s my proposal, it’s pretty simple: college admissions can still happen, just... without college attached to it
incoming freshmen take all the money that was going to be spent on tuition and pool it to buy mansions together and study whatever they want

Sort of like a contrapositive version of the movie Accepted where this guy doesn't get into college & can't break it to his parents so he invents a fake college and accidentally thousands of people apply and are automatically accepted & pay $$$$$ and he buys a mansion & runs it.

honestly the experience of inventing a fake college sounds 100x more educational than the experience of going to a real college
if one of y’all actually does this, I’d like to put my name down somewhere as “eager to give lectures about [list of topics I’m qualified to give lectures on]”
