i tried this and got cavities. dont really recommend tbh. maybe it wouldnt be such a problem if i wasnt eating so much sugar but alas.

Huh. I get the sensory problems (bright light, cold water, having to do things in ways that feel right) about brushing teeth (or showering, tbh), but I don’t have much of an executive functioning problem with the “steps” of either.

It’s been helpful for me in the past to divest toothbrushing from bedtime—brush an hour or two before bed, so you end up not eating and your digestion and elevated blood sugar don’t disturb your sleep Now however I think of it as a bedtime ritual, so it puts me to sleep

oh sorry, that wasn’t the intention at all. it was meant to be a reference to those threads where someone’s like “sometimes i’m too tired to make a sandwich” and their therapist is like “what if you just ate the ingredients individually” and they’re like 🤯
