here’s my proposal, it’s pretty simple: college admissions can still happen, just... without college attached to it
incoming freshmen take all the money that was going to be spent on tuition and pool it to buy mansions together and study whatever they want

Idk. Over half of students rely on financial aid to even attend college. Without it they would go straight to work.
Not to mention there are very few freshman I knew who I would trust to organize and run a healthy community like that. Even frats have a tendency to big problems.
