hereβs my proposal, itβs pretty simple: college admissions can still happen, just... without college attached to it
incoming freshmen take all the money that was going to be spent on tuition and pool it to buy mansions together and study whatever they want

i had this idea 5 or so years ago but itβs looking a lot closer to the overton window these days

I think this undervalues the diploma earned and access to faculty, facilities, and events that a university can provide. Admittedly the facilities part isn't there right now, but the diploma, faculty, and some form of events will still be there. Still likely worth it for many.
