Have found in myself and others an "inner authoritarian". An entity that wants to execute power in a really unresponsive way such that one can only be enslaved by it or rebel against it. No healthy, sane, responsive application of power possible. Has anyone written about this?

Yes, highly recommend reading The Guru Papers which goes over how authoritarianism is "in the water supply" and becomes internalized.
