feels like there is this weird unfortunate thing that happened in our generation where for millennials motherhood became coded conservative + misogynist so rebelling against motherhood became the edgy liberal + feminist thing to do
maybe not just our generation idk maybe this goes back to the sixties
anyway not a fan of rebelling against actually really important and primal and good things to own the imaginary conservatives in our heads

I'd much more blame the shift from one income families to dual income for this
you could actually have a family live off of 1 income and have a house and kids 50-60 years ago
now it's impossible and girlboss archetypes are just a response to having to work
