As a mathematician, I'm basically doing it to sasify my aesthetic + it teaches me a bunch of correct thinking along the way. It's basically really cool art - but again, art is something that we tolerate in society, and for good reason

This is the materialist mindset applied to ideas. You are arguing against hording, be it time or ideas. I think it's a spillover from the general capitalist mindset. What you are arguing for is greater ethical responsibility from everyone. And I agree with your critique.
