My greatest weakness as a writer is that I absolutely hate editing my own work. I'm a perfectly good copy-editor on other people's work, but I really can't bring myself to do much of it on my own.

(I kid, I don't think that actually works very well). In general yeah the name is somewhat tongue in cheek. The system only promises that if you can follow it then it will produce good results but it doesn't promise that you can follow it and you usually get stuck at some point.
