promise this is not a subtweet for anyone reading and I know the usual advice for hetero men is "don't listen to women on dating" which is actually reasonable imo bc people can be Quite bad at knowing what they want but I can't keep my mouth shut entirely

like 3 times this month i have watched men in my circles bemoan not getting laid and hyperfixate on income and fitness to raise their SMV which is fine both are important factors ngl meanwhile they walk around with a perpetual, unshakeable aura of bitterness and misery

not like the sad artsy/emo boys teenagers fawn over or whatever, idk what's going on there and while I have theories that's another thread but like - bitter, misanthropic, self-hating "I don't like people and I don't have fun and I don't leave this state very often"

this is a neglected aspect of the SMV thing I think an aura of perpetual misery is NOT SEXY because it is NOT FUN and in the wise words of cyndi lauper girls they wanna have fun

two components here, at least the aura itself and the *resistance to inputs* that would change that state if you just have the aura but it's fairly easy to shake out of it with the right inputs, that's probably better (though it's a dangerous trap for certain kinds of women)
