Finally, I think you can do something similar to "trauma work" but in a more common way by just having a lot of good friends or family who will listen when you talk about your feelings.
can you say more about "kind of imagining a lot of it"? i think good trauma work is actually quite hard to do and agree that the victim mentality some people have about it is not helpful. @Aella_Girl wrote a lovely thing about this:https://knowingless.com/2018/09/21/trauma-narrative/ …

for me the key feature of trauma-like stuff is not being a victim but the way in which the past intrudes on the present

Mmm maybe not making it up. Maybe there was some trauma but it was unhelpful to dwell on it. It made me ineffective at actually making my situation better. Once I made my situation better everything started to work out. But honestly it might have been necessary as well!

I read a part of this. Very interesting read and I definitely see how this is very different from any type of trauma that I have. I feel like it is valuable to work on this type of trauma and that it is normal that it would deeply affect your adult life.
