Nah man, in fact there's a *common* source for me: flourishing lives full of beauty and love *are* what is worth fighting for - we should not adopt the view that each human is just a drain on resources!

You're right that I'm mixing a "generative" energy with a "scale-aware" energy. To oversimplify, I think empowering 1000 sculptors is more Good than being a single sculptor, but it's only good *at all* *because* being a sculptor *is good*

But of course there's a 2x2 here in what energy to attach to the message: It's Good for humans to (shrink as much as possible and reduce our footprint / create, express, and experience) You should (focus on your individual contribution / multiply your impact as much as you can)

*sigh* I really feel you on this right now. I watched the film Anthropocene yesterday, and spent the afternoon in a slump. Sure, I *know* that love and art are good, but once you're working deep in a supply chain, how *then* can we know what's good? Argh!
