I'll have to chew on that for a while and watch the extended video. I will say I think the insights after fundamentally not mathematical, which is part of why it fails so spectacularly when described as math.

Yeah, watching his interaction w/ the crowd is as interesting as the things he says. Forced myself to refrain from doing a terradacto-search. So glad I did. I refuse to google anything else from this point forward. Only listening for the metaphors now.

ooh, he starts talking more about 1x1 around 21:30 and basically is describing a confusion about multiplying quantities with units he says, paraphrasing: what's 1$ times 1$? 1$? well, what's 100 pennies times 100 pennies? 10000 pennies? as a kind of proof by contradiction
