right, this relates to the thing where superheroes are constantly protecting the status quo and reacting to threats, and the only people who actively try to change anything are supervillains

Indeed, we can use more stories of loving failure, as well. How about stories that epitomize the serenity prayer? Learning what we can change, how to let go of what we can't change, and what we actually want to change, so we can focus our limited energy towards those goals.
