I agree, though do you think it’s possible that some ideologies like science and pragmatism are better prepared to integrate their shadows more regularly (since it can’t be avoided).

Flip side it's mainly a DESTRUCTIVE tool... Just because the fringe agrees it's a lie doesn't mean they agree on what replaces it. Look at the ongoing history of implosion of US 60s and esp 70s Leftist radical groups. There are worse things than manufactured consent.
