still coughing. hate it. i developed a lot of really bad habits for dealing with being sick all the time in grad school and they're all coming back. dissociating from body to avoid feeling sick, very shallow breathing while surfing the internet to minimize coughing, etc.

i used to cough for months at a time in grad school and i never really understood why. current best guess is my immune system was shot because i was suppressing a ton of emotion all the time. it got better once i started doing that less, but this is the worst it's been in awhile

I also had a cough for, like, nearly an entire year or something and I drew a similar conclusion
