I only have this issue if I have to sit still. I take crazy amounts of walks because of podcasts. It's a nice additional health benefit.
-
aha! sounds worth a shot

Perhaps obvious, but some podcasts also have video versions on YouTube. Also I’d love to try something like an aesthetic double crux with you about this sometime if that sounds fun. Maybe asynchronously on Twitter even?
-
let’s try it asynchronously on twitter! how does it go?

Are audiobooks equally bad?

I love listening to podcasts (and have a hard time with watching talking heads on video). Though to hear that you feel bad about missing the faces sounds to me like a perceptual advantage. I listen using wireless headphones (Anker=good value) while doing physical work tasks.
Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

most people *suck* at speaking for an audience. I also find it excruciating to listen to someone explain something verbally with no visual information stream to keep me from getting bored
-
going for walks and listening to podcasts helps with this
