Practically I value getting to reduce everyone else's uncertainty about when I'm going to die so people can plan around it, and spiritually I think a ritual for celebrating someone's life that explicitly incorporates their death would be incredibly powerful.
I would be pretty uncomfortable attending such a ritual, but if people want to do that, it's their choice.
