      Fun fact: My kid was part of an impromptu marshmallow test with a group. She was the only one who ate the marshmallow. Her answer as to why: “I knew they’d give me another one.” Spoiler alert: they did 😆

      I've generally wondered if the marshmallow test is less of a test of time preference, and more of a test of whether the kid has been so far raised in an environment where they can trust the adults around them to follow up on promises... But this! This is next level beyond that!
