There's some kind of awful toxoplasmosis life cycle thing going on with trauma and ideology. Trauma begets ideologies to make sense of it, and those ideologies form communities in which everyone is actually actively reinforcing each other's trauma, I think in several ways. Oof.
Not only that but ideological communities spawn nemesis communities (e.g. feminism spawning redpill), and not only is this happening in each of them individually but they're also making each other worse too. What a goddamn mess.

It is, but at least the insight reveals that a) ideologues are damaged not evil and b) the remedy is to heal trauma rather than wasting time fighting ideology
