We’re in a timeloop and the Big Bang will keep happening until we figure out how to avoid building an A.I. that eventually consumes all matter before exploding, again.

Haven’t read that. I like Yudkowsky. This is one of my stream-of-consciousness speculations. It is very deterministic (which works for the exercise, here) but I don’t think it’s implausible.
