A danger in only taking consistently successful people as role models is that there are lots of behavioral patterns that can only persist with consistent success as fuel, and that become dysfunctional in the face of real failure. You want people who have dealt with rock bottom.

this is my most popular tweet atm and i'm not sure why. are the people who like / RT it subtweeting someone in particular? if i had to guess, i'm subtweeting mostly myself and a little bit elon musk circa a year or two ago, before he started publicly melting down on twitter
