I love it too, this entire conversation is reminding me of an experience I had on a weeklong silent meditation retreat where I felt like i realized how often I performed someone else’s projection of me without realizing it

Which is why being “seen” is such a gift, so freeing, my whole sense of self isn’t struggling to fulfill a projection, it can just rest, it feels healing.

Fractal healing!!! YES. I’ve written about this as being a sort of mobile & emergent refuge where the care and repair from socialization that REQUIRES us to perform these projections (and other harms) can be something we offer & share with each other
