Common thread in stories of how people go beyond rationality: running into a wall that you can't make progress on without getting weird. For me it was a breakup, for others chronic pain and/or deep dissatisfaction with their jobs.

That prompts a thought: is getting weird the new getting religion? Not in the sense of postrationalism being a religion, but rather becoming salient at similar times?

Feels that way to me! Instead of finding Jesus I found circling / authentic relating and (western) tantra.
