They had hundreds of officers & the nat’l guard for the peaceful BLM protests. Trump declared there would be a massive riot to overturn the election results. Capitol Police failed to prepare for a terrorist attack everyone knew was coming, endangered the lives of the entire US legislature, and allowed a catastrophic security/information breach. If they're not going to do their jobs when they're needed, why shouldn't they be abolished?

The former chief of the Capitol Police just got pulled over the coals by a BBC reporter and his response was basically "But did any legislators die tho." Agree with you completely.

Virginian born and bred right off the GW Parkway, where were the US Park Police who are normally so present when ANY large event is happening on the mall/in DT DC? Took me a while but realized they weren’t visible on any news cast. Normally the mounted police are all over.
