Check out our new work with , , and ! We show that hippocampal place cells remap in similar + predictable ways across rats. This challenges the standard view that place cell remapping is random. 🐀🧠🗺️ Preprint here:

Excited to share my first postdoc paper that just came out today ! We looked at how the Locus Coeruleus modulates place fields around a rewarded location in CA1. The result of a fruitful collaboration with a graduate student!

New paper with and , which unifies a panoply of decision-making models (1D accumulation-to-bound, multi-D race models, discrete stepping, hybrid ramp+step models, collapsing bounds, etc) into single recurrent-state-space modeling framework!

1/ Very proud that our paper is finally out in Nature Neuro! We use new wire-free miniaturized microscopes and electrophysiology to find interneuron desynchronization and long term place cell instability in a model of temporal lobe epilepsy.

I have wanted to learn about spatial and non-spatial hippocampal function! Especially in primates! Really wonderful study describing the contextual modulation/flexibility of neuronal activity in macaque hippocampus during a spatial memory task

1/ Hippocampal-prefrontal awake replay paper in the new issue. CA1 reverse replay for retrospection, forward replay for prospection, with opposing learning gradients. CA1-PFC replay supports past recall and future planning for spatial working memory.

1/ Very happy to share that my main PhD paper is out in ! We used simultaneous neural recordings in behaving rats to show that dorsal and ventral hippocampus talk to the nucleus accumbens about different things. Thread below for more.

Finally out!: Space-time binding both developmentally preceded and was critical to full EM (what + where + when). And the successful association of objects to spatial locations seemed to mediate this developmental process.
