Apparently, the tiny town of Stanwood, WA (pop. 7,200) elected some land use and transportation people to their Council and now they're working hard to fix their downtown stroad.

Have you seen stroad revitalizations like this before? I'm curious how they work out.
There's a ton of room to make things better, but the stroadiness is still baked in pretty deep. E.g., low density of establishments, big distances from street.
