It would bother me less if I hadn't been monetized without problems for the past five years. Bad timing on my part divorcing myself from my MCN, I guess.
It's probably not a good sign that @TeamYouTube has a boilerplate notice in their monetization that they "hope to review applications by late January." To be fair, they didn't say what year.
C'mon @YouTube. I have patience and I know I'm a small fish, but I'm antsy.pic.twitter.com/2j6wNRzw4K

Thankfully I don't rely on YouTube ad revenue. However, the amount I was getting was not insignificant, as a month's ad revenue generally bought us food for a week. That'll add up. Public thank you to all my Patrons for keeping food on my table.

I still believe that divorcing myself from my MCN will make more financial sense in the long-term, and I planned for the loss in the short-term. But man... YouTube must have a ton of applications right now, or not enough people reviewing them, or both.

My hands are tied until I'm re-monetized though. I want to join the Nintendo Creator Program as well but can't until I'm re-monetized.
