I am making a Roblox game with my six year old daughter. On one hand, it's nice to be able to use my programming skills with her - on the other, learning a new language with an impatient six year old constantly asking when I'll be done with "the boring stuff" is not a cake walk.

Welcome to my life, but with a 10 year old. lol It's amazing how great of a platform Roblox has for new devs of all ages though. My son is building his own game and it's fascinating to see his growth. I wish Roblox got more love in the game dev community in general.

It's a great tool, for sure, much better than QBASIC which is what I learned in, haha.

Did you ever download the QBasic Mortal Kombat v Pong game back in the day? I think it was called Pong Kombat II. That was amazing.

I didn't get the internet until early 1999, so I had to learn QBASIC very poorly from included documentation and whatever books I could still find at the library (they usually had to special import them from rural library systems that had older books, haha).

Ah. Yeah that's tough. I think I had access around maybe 1993. I had to seek out Basic documentation in the school library too. No one cared about dev back then. What a chore. Look at you now though!
