Spent the morning building an interaction and events system for #NightWindow. Now I can easily add interactions, descriptive overlays, and track events on any object. Quite proud of this "game engine"

Yeah. My goal is to build an engine of sorts so I can focus on creating short 5-15 minute horror and suspense games that have underlying state checks to change dialog, situations, etc. It's something I've always wanted to do and it just kind of came together really smoothly.

Thats a really cool way of doing it, before i made the switch to unreal i had created an integration between darktree and emerald AI in unity..allowed me to knock weapons/characters/items together in seconds. Was prob one of the most rewarding things i have done

Awesome! When you're able to build those setups and get to the point where you can just make the game on top instead of always needing to code every element it gets really fun.

Yeah especially as a
#DadDev .... Today we are making new character controllers while the 3yr old jumps from wanting a nap to pretending to do farts that propel her across the house.....so anything to streamline is always a win
