At what point did you decide to go full time #indiedev? Would love to have everyone share their experience, positive or not, so others can see what's out there

About 1,5 years ago I looked at my miserable life and was like: I'm going nowhere, so I might as well do what I enjoy most. :) Needless to say I'm back at uni again. I basically just tried full time gamedev for about a year... it was a great time.
