You kidding me? That's so awesome!! I'm pretty sure I watched all Shuttle documentaries. Was it this one? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ws3LusoK2FU …

Not sure. The production company went bankrupt and sold the footage. I tried for years to get what I shot back or even be involved in an end product. It focused more on the people attending and what the program means/meant to them, etc. Captured really great stuff. Sigh.

Ahhh, that sucks!! Must've been a great experience. Hopefully, one day I'll come over to watch a launch and visit museums.

Yeah. Was a shame. I'd love to experience both places again as a fan of space, science, and exploration. NASA has a great social media program that invites people for meet-ups every so often. Keep an eye out for that and maybe you'll get accepted! Great people doing great things.

Interesting, I'll keep an eye. How and why did you get into games?

Been playing video games since NES. Taught myself programming starting with QBasic as that's all I had access to. Went into websites, interactive kiosks, etc starting about 20 yrs ago. Became a Creative Director. Founded a marketing agency. Got back into gamedev as a hobby. You?

The why: I like building things
Development is a solution to the problem of building new things & puzzle solving. Designing/creative is the solution to everything else. User experience, why people behave how they do, etc has been the focus of my career the past 20 years.1 Antwort 0 Retweets 1 Gefällt mir -

Naturally, gamedev/gamedesign pulls all of those things together into one thing. I picked up Unity about 6 months ago and now I'm building things I didn't think I could do on my own. Which is pretty exciting.

Cool! I always loved video games, especially those with "map editors" that let you build and create your own missions. I studied architecture, where I started learning 3D, but left it when I realized I could make games on my own :D That's it in short.

Your game is shaping up good! But you should replace that Ethan animations/walk cycle, I can just spot those things from every Unity game ever made :D Also when you replace the sky and ambient color it will look less like every beginner's Unity game :D my 2 cents

Ha. Thanks! Definitely agree. Once game mechanics are "locked in" I'll start thinking more about art direction. I'm budgeting to have someone create some character models and animations I can blend. Just not that deep into it yet.
