I like the button for gas better than forward for gas.
Couple questions for you to help fine tune game controls:
What video game (any generation / platform) had the best driving experience?
Do you want to push forward on the left stick to move or hit a button for gas?

I agree. I have it setup to be controlled entirely by the LS with A/X for gas but if you ever have to back up or idle you find yourself going 80mph backwards sometimes. So it needs some love. lol
