There are things that we want to do down the line, but Gamemaker proved to be unscalable. We were already at over 100 scripts for the tech demo alone, and we were nowhere near the main infrastructure of how the game functioned. That makes sense. How they handle certain things is a real pain. Also, like you said, a big hurdle in a team environment is ensuring each can focus entirely on their skill set versus trying to learn and adapt to other things which just muddies the quality overall. Good call.
