One aspect of #GameDesign that I think makes games feel alive, is making elements of the game interact with lots of other elements. Instead of enemy bullets just hitting Hemasaurus, they can hit civilians, other police officers and even themselves!

Creating randomized moments like that where each interaction is different but similar adds so much to the gameplay. Like alternate animations for the same behavior.
